IUPAC–IUPAP Joint Working Party on Discovery of Elements

The IUPAC–IUPAP Joint Working Party on Discovery of Elements is a joint committee of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) and the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP). It was formed in 1999 as a successor to the IUPAC–IUPAP Transfermium Working Group, and charged with reviewing claims for discovery of chemical elements with atomic numbers greater than 110.
