Hello Hiba, it's easier to reply to your question about refs here.  Make sure you look it up under Sildenafil, because that is what most syntheses would be published under.  To find a synthesis, you could try the following:
 +
# The Lednicer book "The organic chemistry of drug synthesis" - probably in vols 5 or 6, which are on reserve in the library.  Look up Sildenafil in the index, see what you find.
 +
# Try searching under "Sildenafil synthesis" in the [http://webproxy.potsdam.edu:2391/wls/journals/query/subscriberSearch.html ACS Journal search].
 +
# If those both fail, you could try [http://webproxy.potsdam.edu:2075/ Science Direct].  If the last two links fail (you need to prove campus ID for access) start at [http://www.potsdam.edu/library/home/2LEVIndexes.php this page] and try again.
 +
# Ask Mrs Coleman if you can use the Merck Index on CD that she has. That may list a synthesis reference.
 +
If all that fails, talk with [http://www.potsdam.edu/library/home/Staff_Pages/Staff_DT.php Dave Trithart] from the library. [[User:Walkerma|Walkerma]] 22:46, 18 March 2007 (EST)

Hello Hiba, it's easier to reply to your question about refs here. Make sure you look it up under Sildenafil, because that is what most syntheses would be published under. To find a synthesis, you could try the following:

  1. The Lednicer book "The organic chemistry of drug synthesis" - probably in vols 5 or 6, which are on reserve in the library. Look up Sildenafil in the index, see what you find.
  2. Try searching under "Sildenafil synthesis" in the ACS Journal search.
  3. If those both fail, you could try Science Direct. If the last two links fail (you need to prove campus ID for access) start at this page and try again.
  4. Ask Mrs Coleman if you can use the Merck Index on CD that she has. That may list a synthesis reference.

If all that fails, talk with Dave Trithart from the library. Walkerma 22:46, 18 March 2007 (EST)

Update: I created a page called Viagra to get you started. You don't need to use it, but will be creating these for everyone. Walkerma 10:36, 19 March 2007 (EST)
