Training Iraqi forces

We must continue training both police and military forces as quickly as possible, if we are to stabilize the country in a reasonable time. We must have enough strength available to hold democratic elections, rebuild the country's infrastructure and restore the economy.

January 2005: We now have over 100,000 police and 80,000 in the new Iraqi army. We are in a good position to hold the elections as planned.
