Strunz class 01

Strunz class 01 is a top-level class in the Strunz classification of minerals. It includes the native chemical elements, both metals and nonmetals, as well as intermetallic alloys. It also includes carbide, silicide, nitride and phosphide minerals, as these usually have intersticial structures.
