This is the website for the Northeast Region of the American Chemical Society, which covers New England and upstate New York. Events within the region include the annual NERM conferences (the "Northeast Regional Meetings"; these are coordinated and overseen at the regional level by members of the regional board, as well as representatives from all of the local section. The following local sections are part of the Northeast Region.

Regional meetings

2012 Northeast Regional Meeting (NERM 2012) will be held in Rochester, New York on September 30th – October 3rd, 2012.

Future NERMs are planned as follows:

• NERM 2013 hosted by the New Haven section
• NERM 2014
• NERM 2015 hosted by the Cornell section

Regional awards

Two regional ACS awards will be presented at NERM 2012, to Mr. David Hostage (Taft School, Watertown, NY) and Prof. Maria Hepel (SUNY Potsdam).

• The ACS Division of Chemical Education Northeast Region Award for Excellence in High School Teaching is awarded to David Hostage, The Taft School, Watertown, CT.
• The Northeast Region ACS Award for Achievements in the Chemical Sciences is awarded to Prof. Maria Hepel, SUNY Potsdam, Potsdam, NY 13676.

The Northeast Region of the ACS consists of the following Local Sections in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont:
