Accommodation is available either on campus, or in local hotels, motels and bed & breakfast inns. Please mention NERM 2010 when booking your room, as we have negotiated room rates at the Clarkson Inn. A complete list of area hotels and motels is available here.

Campus accommodation
Online campus registration is now closed. If you are still in need of accommodation, please consider other accommodation listed below.
There may be limited Campus Housing available the day of registration on June 2nd if you wish to consider this option, however, it is not guaranteed. If housing is available, beds will not be made, however, a linen package will be provided to you.

Hotels
Potsdam
The main hotel in Potsdam is the Clarkson Inn, an historic inn about half a mile from campus. Motel accommodation is available at the Northern Family Motel, or the Smalling Motel. For those who prefer Bed & Breakfasts, there is the Brambles Inn and Gardens on Elm St. close by in Potsdam, and the Butternut Ridge B&B is a short drive away. The Hidden Meadow Inn and Moore's Hill B&B (892 Finnegan Road, Potsdam, (315) 265-1630) are both about 15 minutes from campus.
Canton
Canton, the county seat of St. Lawrence County, is about 15 minutes away by car. There are two larger hotels: Comfort Suites, with 69 rooms, lies on the way to Potsdam, while the University Inn/Best Western, with 99 rooms, is on the campus of Saint Lawrence University. The Cascade Inn is also in downtown Canton.
Massena
Massena lies on the St. Lawrence river, about half an hour north of Potsdam. Choices include the Quality Inn, Econolodge, Super 8 motel and Bob's Motel/Red Carpet Inn.
Saranac Lake
Saranac Lake is just over an hour's drive from Potsdam, via Route 458. Take in the lakes and mountains, and maybe add on a Saturday night to make a weekend mini-vacation! You can stay at a hotel such as the Best Western Mountain Lake Inn or a motel such as the Sara-Placid Motor Inn.
Lake Placid
Lake Placid is about 80-90 minutes drive from Potsdam, via Route 458. You may want to add on a weekend mini-break after the conference to explore the mountains, and to see where the Winter Olympics began.
