Caesium chlorate, CsClO3, is the caesium salt of chloric acid. It may be conveniently prepared in almost quantitative yield by the reaction of caesium carbonate and ammonium chlorate in aqueous solution at 75 ºC:[2]

Cs2CO3 + 2NH4ClO3 → 2CsClO3 + 2NH3 + CO2 + H2O
