Terbium(III) bromide, TbBr3, is the only known bromide of terbium. The hydrate is prepared by dissolving terbium(III) oxide or terbium carbonate in hydrobromic acid, but cannot be dehydrated without partial hydrolysis.[1] The anhydrous salt is prepared by reaction of the elements.[1]
