Caesium cadmium chloride (CsCdCl3) is a synthetic crystalline material. It belongs to the AMX3 group, where A = an alkali metal, M = a bivalent metal and X = a halide. It is formed from an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid containing equimolar quantities of caesium chloride and cadmium chloride.[4]
