Lanthanum fluoride

Lanthanum fluoride, LaF3, is the only fluoride of lanthanum, and known as an ionic conductor. It is also the type structure for many other fluorides of the lanthanoids and actinoids. It occurs in nature as the mineral fluocerite-(La), also known as tysonite.
