- Read the presentation for unit 1
- Read Hill chapter 1
- Test yourself with the online quiz.
- Look through BBC, "Disposable Planet" including the Overview and all parts of the six sections.
- Read the presentation for unit 2 and the associated reading from Lester Brown's book, "Eco-economy".
Discussions
Our first discussion: We will use this week's discussion time to break the ice, and to deal with any technical and curriculum issues. I will introduce the chemical company scenario, and answer general questions about the homework. Maybe if we have time we can also chat about some of the basic issues involved in this course.
