This is the website for the Northeast Region of the American Chemical Society, which covers New England and upstate New York. Events within the region include the annual NERM conferences (the "Northeast Regional Meetings"; these are coordinated and overseen at the regional level by members of the regional board, as well as representatives from all of the local section. The local sections of the Northeast Region are listed below.

Regional meetings
NENM 2018 will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel & Resort in Lake Placid, NY on June 1-3, 2018. It will differ from the traditional NERM format in that it will be a specialist meeting on nanomaterials, with one single track of speakers by invitation only. There will also be a poster session available for presentation of nanomaterials research, as well as a session on funding sources. Abstracts are open for posters and for invited speakers only, and they are due by March 12, 2018. Online registration will open soon. The theme is "Nanomaterials: Applications and Environmental Impacts" and the keynote speakers are Prof. Vincent Rotello (U-Mass Amherst) and Prof. Vicki Colvin (Brown University).

NERM 2016
NERM 2016 took place in Binghamton, NY on October 5-8, 2016. The theme was "Chemistry at the Crossroads of Energy and Life" and the keynote speaker was Dr. Susan Band Horwitz from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
NERM 2015
The 2015 NERM was held in Ithaca, New York on June 10 - 13, 2015, hosted by the Cornell local section, and was a great success. Over 650 people attended, with over 50% being students. The plenary speaker was Prof. Esther Takeuchi (SUNY Stony Brook), presenting on "Battery Science: At the Confluence of Electrochemistry and Materials Science."

Four regional ACS awards were presented at NERM 2016:
- The ACS Division of Chemical Education Northeast Region Award for Excellence in High School Teaching is awarded to Tracy L. Suggs, Vestal Senior High School, NY.
- The E. Ann Nalley Regional Award for Volunteer Service to the American Chemical Society is awarded to Jack Driscoll.
- The The Stanley C. Israel Regional Award for Advancing Diversity in the Chemical Sciences is awarded to Mindy Levine, University of Rhode Island.
- The Marinda Wu Partners for Progress and Prosperity Award is awarded to The Green Chemistry Commitment: Beyond Benign, Inc and Local Colleges/Universities
